Multiplier Events in Italy

On October 17, 2023 the pupils of the classes IV C and IV D of the high school A. Labriola of Naples, Italy, together with their teacher in science Silvia Maria Lippo carried out two educational activities on seismology with the Italian manager of the SEISMO-Lab project. In particular, they exploited the data recorded by the seismometer installed in the premise of their school and available on the SEISMO-Lab platform to measure in experimental way the velocity of P waves of seismic shocks generated in the pyroclastic rocks of the Phlegrean Fields volcanic complex.
Here are some multimedia realized by the pupils after the experience.

Finally, on Thursday November 16th morning it was held in a computer lab-room a special multiplier event attended by 26 teachers.

Futuro Remoto is a science fair organized annually by Fondazione Idis – Città della Scienza since 1987. The 2023 edition took place from 21 to 26 November in the exhibition spaces of Città della Scienza and involved all the universities and main research bodies present in the Campania region in presenting and communicating the relevant results of their institutional research activities.
